CNY long weekend (1)

stopped work right at 17:30 on friday evening... 歲萬收爐 ma... especially when the bosses were all gone, but expecting us to be business-as-usual until the very end... ~_~
went to hangseng atm and queue up for half an hour to get $$$ for my folks and little brother for cny...
went straight to my folk's and waited for tuen nin dinner... as usual, i would pick up the sudoku board to try to finish one, either due to my slowness, or stupidity, or both, i have never finished one successfully...
watched the news together with my family and we were amazed with the creative blow-up dolls such as doggies that don't flow in the air and the 石油氣罐...
my folks bought some peach blossom and my sis and I asked who needs 桃花 this year, my mom 支吾以對, 老姐與我有深意的互望一下, 有可疑... ... ...
finally left my folk's with mom's hand made 芋蝦, the leftover of 盤菜 and 乳豬 and headed to cwb to meet with my ex-colleagues...

one afternoon on 10/F meeting room of XX Tower in XXX...
CLIENT: this is not what i want!!!
CONSULTANT: tell me what you want then.
CLIENT: something which is not like this.
CONSULTANT: can you be more specific? why don't we go through the document, and you give me some examples, so that i can understand what you want...
CLIENT: if i need to spend the time to go through the document line by line with you, why don't i just do it myself?
CONSULTANT: if you can't give me specifics, i won't be able to know your requirements.
CLIENT: you are the consultant, isn't it your job to figure out the client requirements? if i need to give you all the information, what are you here for?
CONSULTANT: ... ...

just finished the cost calculation part of the proposed HR implementation plan for my assignment... before i dwell into the benefits part... let me share with you my new toy...

waste more or waste less?

i've a free return ticket to shanghai from asiamiles due end of Feb... but somehow i'm not in the mood to go... i must be sick!!! :P

if i don't fly, i waste the free ticket... if i fly, i need to spend $$$ on hotel, transport n food; spend time thinking where to go n what to do; use at least one day of my limited annual leave... lose a weekend for studies n assignment... ... all kinds of excuses... i believe i just don't want to go to SH alone... :P :P :P

team head has a business trip to india from monday to wednesday... the officer of my team is flying to the states for vacation for 11 days... even my big boss has disappeared from the office... overheard his exec. asst. that he won't be back until thursday... so starting from yesterday... i spent my time working on my 2nd assignment for my studies...

today... when i continued with my assignment and tried to open some reference pdf files... acrobat crashed... :o and it refused to end its life... while waiting for the computer to end the acrobat program... i opened the IE, typed in my fellow ex-colleagues' blog addresses... and started peeping into their lives... what a past-time!!! :D

just finished reading a's blogs... the one about expiry dates reminds me that i have some ready-to-drink carnation rich chocolate mix due on 28 Jan... better have one now...

don't know starting from when... management by expiry dates plays an important role in my life... (to be continued...)
