Germany Trips - 9th day 20071002
last day of work before my long weekend. tomorrow is a publich holiday in Germany... originally i thought it's only for Bavaria, the state where i'm in... however, this morning, the interm told me in fact it's the unification day, a national public holiday... which means that the shops in the whole country will be closed, except hopefully some bakeries, restaurants, and ice-cream shops...
the team lead in the states like to have meetings a lot... i guess it's coz he is so out of the way, therefore, he likes to set up meetings, ad hoc, weekly updates, etc. to make sure he's in the loop... to me, it is really a waste of time, and i have to talk about the same thing over and over again... worst of all, to accomodate the time difference of the both sides of the world, the meetings are usu. after 16:00... while i prefer to leave work around 16:30 here... ~_~
today i had beef kebab and boiled potato for lunch... well, as good as this canteen could be, chinese/japanese have a special way with meat which germans cannot compete... but then, since i won't cook meat in the apartment, i tend to have meat at lunch time, and eat vegetables and fruits, bread or pasta at night...
