Germany trips - Lubeck - marzipan

Marzipan in Cafe Niederegger. According to Lonely Planet, my bible in Germany, it is Lubeck's mecca of marzipan, the almond sweet from Arabia, which Lubeck confectioners have excelled in making for centuries. The book says that in medieval Europe marzipan was thought of as medicine, not a sweet.
