Germany trips - 10th - 14th day 20071003 - 07

yes, i have taken the thursday and friday off so that i can have 5 days of holiday in total. :D :D :D

i'll be leaving the hotel tomorrow early to catch the train to hamburg... it takes around 5 hours to go there... i'll stay there for Wed and Thu, leaving Fri for Berlin, where I'll spend another 2 nights before heading back to erlangen...

the original fare of this whole trip will be ~250 euro... now that i have the railpass, it seems much cheaper... and i just found that the deutsche bahn (German rail) is have promotion of 29 euro only for hundreds of thousands of routes within germany... but then i'll have to fix my exact train schedule at least 3 days in advance to enjoy the promotion... maybe i can make use of it after i use up my 10-day rail pass

another 'backward' thing here is that almost nowhere accepts credit card... the hotels i'm going to stay in hamburg and berlin accept cash only, or EC card, just like EPS, same for supermarket here, and most of the restaurants... i do start to worry about my cashflow... -_-
